Art competition which encouraged artists (painters and sculptors), to produce work which were different from their usual practice.
Competition was called "Little Experiment".The "Outside the Box" expression was an idea for something positively unusual and wasadded to the competition title and became the visual idea.
Although this was the second time the Little Experiment competition was held it was not an established event. However, the increase in the number of participants, especially young artists and the first time the competition allowed entries from outside London's Polish community, encouraged the main sponsors to make it a Biennale (every two years) event.
