Caledonia Spirits needed a website to capture and convey the unique essence of Bar Hill—a family of handcrafted gin, vodka and bourbon infused with wild honey from the woods of Vermont. Their goal: to attract a national audience and distribution opportunities beyond their regional footprint.
Based on extensive market research and focus group testing of their existing brand and messaging, we dug into the essential nature of Bar Hill’s products, people and philosophy. That led us to the creation of a new mark and logo featuring the workers who make the entire Bar Hill product line possible: the honeybee. We then applied this visual vocabulary to a light and thoughtful website design focusing on botanical elements and a brand promise that distills the Bar Hill ethos: Landcrafted in the Heart of Vermont.
Caledonia saw a significant bump from 176 sessions in November 2016 to 3367 in February 2017.
