Assignment: Madison Properties, a Toronto-based development team, tasked us with creating a strong teaser campaign for the announcement of their upcoming project, the world's very first Nobu Residences, Hotel, and Restaurant, located in Toronto's Entertainment District. The campaign would exist on a teaser website a full project website, building signage, print ads, digital invitations and e-blasts. We knew that utilizing video to infuse an additional sense of mystery for the teaser materials, and later the sales gallery, would be a critical eye-catching component.
With Director Kat Westergaard, we created three short films lightly narrating each of the three brand components. The first represents the overall city and hotel experience and follows our model walking down the cobblestone street to reference the project's location; the second represents the restaurant, with our model entering and dining at Nobu; and the final represents the residences by setting our model inside a bedroom admiring the city view. As teaser videos, our goal was to produce pieces with a sense of mystery and to build anticipation around the launch of Nobu Toronto Residences sales.
The videos are vignettes that provide a peak into the exclusive Nobu Toronto lifestyle. Our team, as well as our client's, were thrilled with the results. We especially love the video that features our model on the cobblestone street, walking alone as she crosses paths with a mysterious male counterpart. This moment is cinematic.
