Create key art that communicates the premise of the show in a fun and simple way that can be used across multiple platforms.
We identified the main aspect of the show, a film competition between two new directors. Then we looked at what visual icons represented filmmaking and, naturally, a director's chair stood out. Then we discussed how to visually portray the competition aspect of the show and the idea of a "tug-of-war" rose to the top. So we replaced the rope with the director's chair and called it "tug-of-chair."
After trying different color options and other treatments, we arrived at the final piece. A very graphic and bold piece the client loved. They were excited at the artwork's ability to cut through the clutter and stand out in multiple platforms.
