For my Publication course I was instructed to redesign an existing catalog or annual report. As a designer and creative problem solver it is imperative to be able to take mass amounts of information and re-communicate it in a visually successful way. I wanted to use Tesla because it is one of the most innovative companies in the world and it deserves high class and extremely effective print design.
This catalog / year in review showcases the best of the best from Tesla Motors. The clean, sophisticated, and minimal aesthetic parallels the brand attitude and is targeted towards wealthy, educated males. This publication includes the three electric cars – Model S, Model X, and the most recent Model 3. I also included several interesting pages about their charging technology that is changing the industry. “Illuminate The Future” is the title of the catalog because electric, futuristic thinking is exactly what separates Tesla from other companies in this industry.
The final piece is the perfect juxtaposition between cutting edge technology and minimal design that allows the reader to really understand the products while also showcasing world class technology.
