Make both men and women aware of the importance of heart health in an engaging and educational way. This was part of The Bloc’s ongoing social platform #HealthAwareNext, which activates a year in disease awareness by tackling a different condition each month.
Heart disease is the #1 killer of both men and women in the United States, so we knew we needed to develop a campaign with a broad reach. We latched on to initiatives like “Go Red For Women” and other organizations to help spread awareness among all of those at risk. To this end, every item of promotion was released in both English and Spanish. We decided to take the heartbeat and blow out the idea of its musicality.
We wanted to concisely illustrate the various ways in which heart disease can impact the body while providing some basic disease-state education. We carried music industry imagery throughout, framing heart disease risk factors like a Billboard top hits chart.
The posters, along with a month’s worth of social media posts, helped spread awareness and education. Our engagement across social platforms generated hundreds of views, shares, and retweets.
