The goal for this campaign was to attract potential candidates for our Summer Internship Program. The posters are a printed and tangible extension of a social media campaign. The social media campaign was meant to be more informative and educational, while the posters are meant to draw attention to the agency and create interest in applying to the program.
Our core idea was to take the old phrase "walk a mile in our shoes" and give it our own original twist. We represented each open position with a pair of shoes that spoke to the different jobs and personality types we were looking for. The four internship opportunities were for Graphic Design, Account Service, Social Media and Copywriting. We chose to visually advertise our open positions with shoes because we wanted to illustrate that while internship programs are temporary, they also give you valuable experience walking in the shoes of professionals in the industry.
Each poster is tailored to show the uniqueness of each job and put them in a real space. We shot the photography in our own office using the spaces that each person spends the most time in. The shoes we selected were chosen specifically to showcase the personalities usually associated with each job title. To make the photos more visually appealing we flipped the perspective and took the shoes off the floor and put them at eye-level.
That effect gave the photos a surreal quality which inspired the tone for the rest of the campaign. Which has been reflected in the textures and hand-drawn typography.
Overall, our agency has been please with the results of this self-promoting campaign. We noticed a definite increase of applicants to the program compared to previous years and there was a positive response from the target audience.
