Each year more than a quarter of a million people put their trust in SRH and 8.800 employees do their best to justify this trust. The services – education and health care – are intangible. The Annual Report is supposed to visualize abstract interactions between people and to put across the values, purpose and goals of the company without being promotional.
The SRH Annual Report 2012 takes the company’s slogan “SRH – opening new perspectives” literally and visualizes it in creative photo collages running over several pages. For each business unit – Universities, Education, Health Care – one theme was realized.Different angles of view, various zoom levels and the photographer’s sense for fascinating details provided the substance for three authentic photo collages. They convey a multi-layered picture of SRH, its employees and clients. This concept supports SRH’s messages concerning growth and value orientation which are communicated in the text. The large-sized photo collages are folded in several ways so that the viewer explores the motives bit by bit. For example, the focus narrows from the exterior view of a hospital, over nurses in the hallway, to the close-up view of a nurse’s eye. Or from a large reading room in a university library, over a small learning group of students, to the close-up view of a ribbon page marker.In addition to the printed annual report and the app “SRH Library” (iOS and Android), texts, animated charts and further photos are presented on an innovative web page using parallax scrolling (http://www.srh.de/gb2012).
Advisory board and top management of SRH expressly complimented the annual report. Business partners who have received the report responded positively as well.
