The Global Fund for Children, a DC-based nonprofit, supports grassroots organizations around the world who are enriching the lives of vulnerable children. For their 2014 annual report, we wanted to create an intimate, local portrait of the children who benefit from the generosity of GFC’s donors.
Challenges: limited photography assets, competitive marketing landscape.
Our goal was to tell a big story in an intimate way. We wanted the viewer to be able to engage the content on two levels: as a large-format visual yearbook and an intimate narrative portrait of the organization. We used full-bleed photography of their grantee partners as a constant visual backdrop and colorful short-sheets to focus narrative attention.
A succinct, but nimble duel-purpose marketing piece / annual report that tells a compelling story in an elegant way.
