The Okra image was actually the first design created in this series. Originally, the art appeared as an editorial illustration appearing in ‘Edible: Marin and Wine Country’ magazine accompanying an article by Georgeanne Brennan.

The graphic approach was reminiscent of vintage seed packs. After the success of Okra Michael designed the other accompanying images in order to complete a series of poster prints.
