To create a permanent multi-user experience for visitors to the Jim Beam American Stillhouse: one that allowed them to take a photo of themselves, convert it into a vintage woodcut, and add that photo to a custom label printed on demand for their own personalized bottle of Jim Beam Bourbon.
To make the experience more memorable and immersive, we created an oversized Jim Beam barrel crafted to the exact specifications and using the same materials as the actual whiskey barrels, outfitted to serve as our photo booth. The images were instantly converted to the woodcut look via a proprietary app, and sent via WiFi to a printer stationed nearby.
Thousands of customers have had themselves photographed (and their personal data captured for future CRM outreach), hundreds of incremental cases of Jim Beam have been sold at extremely favorable margins, and the program is set to be expanded to additional locations.
