The project brief was to create a new brand for a line of dark chocolate products, including naming, product messaging, visual identity and packaging design. The genesis behind the proprietary dark chocolate line-up was to return to pure, simple ingredients and the craft of chocolate making.
Our approach was to position Blak, the new brand, as super premium and bold. This included creating a look and feel with a sophisticated luxury appeal. High touch packaging details consisted of a matte black, soft touch box with contrasting metallic gold foil. The new line was designed to billboard on-shelf for maximum visual impact and consisted of chocolate bars, truffles, ganache cubes and cake packaging.
Blak recently hit the shelves and has been successfully met with exceptional consumer appeal. So much, in fact, it has already inspired the creation of additional extension products. Thomas Haas has been thrilled with the spotlight and attention Blak has gained for the brand.
