Midtown21, a new Seattle midrise building, has been designed to fill the demand for luxury office space in Seattle. The location is strategic - between the traditional downtown Seattle Office core and the booming tech-centric South Lake Union neighborhood and adjacent to the largest concentration of 4-star hotels in the city.Assignment: Collaborating with Trammel Crow Company and LMN Architects, Michael Courtney Design (MCD) designed signage and graphics for the new 21-story office tower.
The contemporary design of the building identification, interior graphics and wayfinding have a mix of dimensional and curved signs shapes with a color palette of deep charcoal, stainless steel letters and colorful graphics in the garage. The shape and form of wayfinding elements are customized to echo specific architectural details on the building facade.
The project is positioned to attract tenants in the Seattle tech community and at completion was leased to a Fortune 100 tech firm.
